Challenge

I was the sole UX/UI designer for Leseo, a digital reading platform by Cornelsen Verlag used in 800+ classrooms across Germany. The goal: modernize traditional learning with a tool that helps children learn to read while giving teachers data-driven insights into student progress.

Cornelsen’s legacy was rooted in analog publishing, and this was their first step toward a truly digital classroom experience.

Strategy

I defined the product vision, UX, and design system from MVP to launch. The app included gamified learning, adaptive reading levels, and analytics for teachers, all within Cornelsen’s strict pedagogical and brand guidelines.

The challenge was balancing engagement and rigor, making reading feel fun for children while ensuring teachers could trust it as a serious educational tool.
